Lu Show-yen urges opposition grand alliance to safeguard democracy and integrity

Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen called on opposition parties to form a "grand alliance" during a press conference in front of the city hall on the 14th, emphasizing that democracy, freedom, and integrity are Taiwan's most cherished core values. Mayor Lu pointed out that while healthy competition between the ruling party and opposition forces is a guarantee of the constitutional system, the internal and external challenges currently facing society require the opposition to set aside differences and speak with one voice to secure greater well-being for the country and its people.
