Fillmore East

Manhattan, United States · built 1968

The Fillmore East was a rock music venue on Second Avenue near East 6th Street on the Lower East Side section of Manhattan, now called the East Village, in New York City. In operation between March 8, 1968, and June 27, 1971, it belonged to then-top rock promoter Bill Graham, and featured some of the biggest acts in of that time. The Fillmore East was an East Coast companion to Graham's West Coast venue, San Francisco's Fillmore Auditorium, and its successor, the Fillmore West.
