Haji Piyada

The Haji Piyada Mosque (Dari, lit. 'Mosque of the walking pilgrim') or Noh Gonbad Mosque (Dari: , lit. 'Mosque of Nine Cupolas') is an historic former mosque, now in a partial ruinous state, located near Balkh, in the Balkh province of northern Afghanistan. It is thought to be the oldest Islamic building in Afghanistan, dating to the 9th century or possibly to the late 8th century.
