Shagan (Kazakh, Şağan) or Chagan is a lake in Zhanasemey District, Abai Region, Kazakhstan. Formed by a nuclear test explosion in 1965, it is part of the Balapan complex, one of the main tourist attractions of the Semipalatinsk Test Site.
