MGM Grand Detroit is a AAA Four Diamond/Forbes Four Star luxury casino resort in downtown Detroit, Michigan. The 17-story complex includes a 400-room hotel (with 65 premium suites), a 30,000+ sq ft meeting and convention center, the IMMERSE full-service spa, a steakhouse restaurant (D.PRIME Steakhouse), a sports bar (TAP), and a 147,000 sq ft gaming floor with ~150 table games and ~2,500 slot machines. It is operated by MGM Resorts International (through MGM Grand Detroit, LLC) and the real estate is owned by Vici Properties (via MGM Growth Properties). Since its 1999 opening (temporary casino) and 2007 permanent opening, MGM Grand Detroit has been Detroit’s top-grossing casino (e.g. ~$50.7 M in gaming revenue in Dec 2025). In 2024–26 the resort undertook major renovations – $15 M in 2024 (25th anniversary upgrades) and $20 M announced in 2025 (rooms, spa, casino) – fully completing them by late 2025.
