Kehlsteinhaus

The Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest) is a building situated atop the Kehlstein, a rocky promontory above Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden, in southeastern Germany. Completed in 1938, it was commissioned by the Nazi Party for official and social functions and was visited by Adolf Hitler on at least 14 documented occasions. Today, the Kehlsteinhaus operates seasonally as a restaurant, beer garden, and tourist destination.
