Iranian Hospital, Dubai

Dubai, United Arab Emirates · built 1972

The Iranian Hospital is a private non-profit 220 bed general hospital in Dubai located on the Al Wasl Road in Jumeirah. Opened on 14 April 1972, it was built by the Red Lion and Sun Society (now known as the Iranian Red Crescent Society) on land donated by Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum to serve the Iranian community in the United Arab Emirates. The hospital building features an exterior of blue tilework inspired by Persian architecture, similar to the Iranian Mosque located across the road.
