Jeshorehwari Kali Temple

Jeshoreshwari Kali Temple is an ancient Hindu temple in Bangladesh, dedicated to the goddess Kali. The temple is located in Ishwaripur, a village in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira. It is one of the 51 Shakta pithas, where Devi Sati's Palms of hands and soles of the feet were fallen. The name "Jeshoreshwari" means "Goddess of Jeshore". The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi visited this temple in 2021 and gifted a golden crown to idol but later it was stolen during 2024 Bangladesh anti-Hindu violence.
