Hundreds of Staffers Work Overnight to Reopen Most Shops at Beitou Train Station Mall

Taipei Main Station's commercial operations were officially handed over to the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi team today, marking a new chapter in the venue's history. The Shin Kong Mitsukoshi team began mobilizing over 300 professional staff members yesterday afternoon, immediately after the station's business hours concluded, to carry out a comprehensive handover and security review process. Following over ten hours of continuous efforts, the highly anticipated commercial operations handover was completed, symbolizing the formal transfer of ownership and heralding a new era in the commercial operations of the station.

According to Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA), the successful completion of the handover was the result of efficient cooperation between the two teams and the large-scale mobilization of personnel by Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. The majority of store fronts have been restored to normal operations, allowing passengers and commuters to maintain their daily shopping and dining needs. However, some store fronts remain temporarily closed due to outdated equipment or pending safety inspections. The TRA and the operating team emphasized that these closed store fronts will resume operations once equipment upgrades and safety improvements are completed.
