Wenchi is a town in the Bono Region in the middle-belt of Ghana. Wenchi had a population of about 39,000 people in 2013.

Wenchi is the capital of the Wenchi Municipal district.
Getting there
Wenchi is approximately 30 km north of Techiman on the main Techiman-Upper East road, and about 50 km east of the Côte d'Ivoire border. Wenchi is connected by road to the towns of Techiman and Sunyani, and to Sunyani Airport.
Do
Apoo Festival. A festival celebrated annually in Techiman and Wenchi, lasting a week in March and April. The festival is meant to ritually purify the people of social evils, as well as uniting people and families, and includes a variety of other traditional cultural activities.
