Way Kambas National Park

History Way Kambas National Park is one of two conservation areas in the form of national parks in Lampung Province besides the Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park. Stipulated by Decree of the Minister of Forestry Number 670/Kpts-II/1999 dated 26 August 1999, the WKNP area has an approximately 125,631.31 ha.

Flora Meranti (Shorea sp), Rengas (Gluta rengas), Kiara (Ficus retusa), Merbau (Intsia palembanica), Pulai (Alstonia scholaris), Aren (Arenga pinnata), Serdang (Livistonia rotundifolia), Wanga (Metroxylon elatun), Sempur (Dillenia sp), Damar (Shorea Sp), Keruing (Dipterocarpus gracillis), Puspa (Schima walichii), Ipomea cemara pantai (Casuarina equisetifolia), Ketapang (Terminalia cattapa), Nyamplung (Callophyllum inophylum)

Fauna Tapir (Tapirus indicus), Gajah sumatera (Elephas maximus sumatranus), Rusa sambar (Cervus unicolor), Kijang (Muntiacus muntjak), Harimau sumatera (Panthera tigris), Beruang madu (Helarctos malayanus)

It has an "elephant school", where elephants are trained. You can ride elephants and watch a show of them dancing.
