Getting there

Intercity Coachlines operate bus services from Auckland to Warkworth every day. Tickets can be purchased online or throughout the country at numerous agents including the i-site network.

1 Kawau Island. is a short ferry trip away. There you can visit the historic Mansion House, go hiking and enjoy the colourful peacocks. Buy

Warkworth town centre has Woolworths and New World supermarkets. Pak'n Save is at the northern edge of town. There are 6 op shops selling second goods in aid of charity. The Warehouse and Mitre 10 are on Woodcocks Rd.

Queen Street Cafe, 23-25 Queen Street. M-F 7AM-3PM, Sa 8AM-3PM, Su 9AM-2PM. Coffee shop. (updated Aug 2024) 1 Warkworth Hotel, 9 Queen Street. Tu-Su 8AM-late. Restored hotel which first opened in 1862. The hotel serves food in the dining room, lobby and outside in the courtyard. There is live music at the weekends. (updated Aug 2024)
