About Uyghur

Uyghur (ئۇيغۇرچە/Uyƣurqə/Уйғурчә/Uyghurche or ئۇيغۇر تىلى Uyghur Tili), a member of the Turkic language family, is mostly spoken in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of northwestern China, where it is an official language. It is also spoken by the Uyghur diaspora in Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

Most Uyghurs in China are also able to speak Mandarin, so it's not really necessary to communicate in Uyghur. That said, attempting to communicate in the language will surely impress the locals.
