This fine country home built in 1859 is a place of remembrance for one of Kentucky's foremost military families from colonial times, through the revolution, the War of 1812, the Mexican War and the Civil War. Built in the Greek Revival style the house is a three-bay, masonry structure with a commanding view of the Kentucky River valley. Adults $5, under 18 $3.

A 1.5-mile oval is Kentucky's home for NASCAR, hosting races in all three NASCAR national series (Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Truck Series) on one weekend in late June and Xfinity and Truck races on a weekend in late September. The 2011 Cup Series race, the first for that series at the track, was plagued by logistical problems. The track and the state worked to address these issues for the 2012 races, and all subsequent races have gone off without major logistical issues.
