Getting there

From São Paulo - via BR-116 (Presidente Dutra) east to Cachoeira Paulista, turn toward Cruzeiro, and take the Dr. Avelino Júnior Highway/MG-158 through Passa Quatro, Itanhandu, and Pouso Alto, where you will see an exit for São Lourenço/Caxambu. Continue 11 more km. From Rio de Janeiro - via BR-116 (Presidente Dutra) west past Resende to the village of Engenheiro Passos and take BR-354 north into Minas Gerais. At Pouso Alto, you will see an exit for São Lourenço/Caxambu. Continue 11 more km. From Belo Horizonte - via BR-381 (Fernão Dias), turning onto BR-267 at Cambuquira. You will pass through the small towns of Lambari, Jesuânia, and then Carmo de Minas. From Carmo de Minas it is 9 km more to São Lourenço.
