About Qingpu
Qingpu (Qīngpǔ Qū) is a district of Shanghai, a suburb on the western edge of Shanghai Municipality.
Administratively, Qingpu includes the water town Zhujiajiao, a popular tourist area. We give Zhujiajiao its own article; this article covers the rest of Qingpu.

Dianshan Lake is Shanghai's largest freshwater lake covering 62 square kilometers and serves as the source of the Huangpu River. It offers excellent opportunities for cycling along its 50-kilometer lakeside greenway, water sports like kayaking and sailing, and easy access to ancient water towns including Zhujiajiao and Jinxi, as well as the Shanghai Grand View Garden. Built in 1745 during the Qing Dynasty in Qingpu District, Qushui Garden gets its name from the ancient Chinese tradition of "drinking wine from a winding stream". Originally a temple garden, it was maintained through community donations - locals each contributed one coin, earning it the nickname "One Coin Garden". The garden is known for its water features (covering 15% of the area), with pavilions, bridges, and corridors built around pools and streams.
