Understand

Pasig is bordered to the west by heavily populated Quezon City and rapidly urbanizing Mandaluyong, to the east by the municipality of Cainta in Rizal province, to the north by Marikina, and to the south by Philippine financial capital Makati, middle-class residential district Pateros and Taguig. Pasig is home to the Ortigas Center, the country's fastest growing commercial and financial district. Home to many of the country's most important centers of commerce, business, government, and entertainment, Pasig City is emerging as a truly important city in the Philippines, and an ideal homebase from which to experience the Philippines at its finest and most real.

Getting there

By bus Two bus routes serve Pasig:

Route 2 Quiapo-Angono, ply Ortigas Avenue, the main east-west road through the City. Buses on these route are run by G Liner and RRCG, from a stop near LRT Gilmore station and the SM mall in Taytay. Route 18 North EDSA-BGC, ply E. Rodriguez Avenue (part of C-5 Road), the main north-south road. Buses are run by various companies, and originated from either SM North EDSA in Quezon City or Market Market in Taguig.

By jeepney Pasig is accessible by Jeepneys. The terminal in the city's mega market serves jeepneys bound for Starmall EDSA in Mandaluyong, Quiapo, Marikina, Taguig (town proper in Sta. Ana, Tipas, Lower Bicutan and Bagumbayan), Taytay and Angono. The terminal in San Joaquin near the city's boundary with Pateros serves jeepneys bound for Bagumbayan in Taguig and Quiapo. The terminal in Buting serves jeepneys bound for Guadalupe in Makati.

Getting around

Jeepneys are available throughout the city, as well as tricycles and pedicabs in smaller residential areas. Most routes originate from the old downtown, at the public market. Jeepneys from the city's mega market are bound for Ugong, while those in San Joaquin near the city's boundary with Pateros are bound for nearby Napindan. There are also jeepneys that pass through C-5 from Ortigas Ave. near Ugong to Bagong Ilog. Pasig operates a limited free-fare minibus service from the city hall, with limited utility for visitors.

The Victor is a 60-m steel art installation which depicts the victory of the global Filipino. At night, it can be lit up with various colours & can be seen in the city's northern Barangay Rosario. Metrowalk - In Barangay Ugong, this is a complex of high-end nightclubs and restaurants in uptown Pasig where partygoers can go clubbing with a view of the city as well as its neighbors.

Maybunga Rainforest Park (formerly known as Rave), F. Legaspi Ave. Maybunga (in the east of Pasig City), ☏ +63 288120828. Visitors can enjoy flower viewing, boating or swimming. As a green space, it offers a respite from the hustle & bustle of the city; it's also where local events are held. Entrance is free but certain attractions require payment. (updated May 2026)

The cuisine of Pasig tastes slightly different because of the many cultures that converged here. It still offers a unique culinary experience for restaurateurs.

Budget Cafe Juanita - Found in Barangay Kapitolyo, this restaurant is for people who are looking for something with class but on a "coca-cola" budget. This restaurant is literally decorated with all sorts of antiques that are for sale, and the cozy ambiance, the food served are just worth the time. This restaurant specializes in Filipino and other Asian cuisines. Dimas-alang Bakery - Established in 1919, Dimas-alang Bakery hasn't changed the way it bakes its bread through a unique stove. Found in Barangay Kapasigan, it offers all sorts of pastries and other unique delicacies such as pambonete and "di ko akalain". Ado's Panciteria - In the heart of Pasig, this small panciteria has been in business for more than fifty years now, serving their pancit specialty. It has become a well-known favorite among locals. Charing's Halo-Halo Special - Located in the city's public Palengke (mega market), this stall serves alongside other Filipino snacks.
