1 Khirai (ক্ষীরাই Kṣīrāi). A secluded village, often called the "Valley of Flowers" of West Bengal. During the months of January-March, the fields are full of flower species like marigolds, chrysanthemums, tuberose and gladiolus. The remote view of a train passing through the colourful valley can remind one of Bengali classics like Pather Panchali, despite not being shot here. (updated Feb 2026)
