The volcano is surrounded by maars and cinder cones. The volcano's high point is locally named as Mount Tarub.
Getting there
By train 1 Klakah Railway Station, Jl. St. Klakah No.6, Kidul Gn., Mlawang (18 km north downtown Lumajang, 30 min drive). Executive class train, KA. Ranggajati from Cirebon and Jember, KA. Wijayakusuma from Cilacap and Banyuwangi. The two trains through Yogyakarta and Surabaya. For economy trains, KA. Probowangi from Surabaya and Banyuwangi, also KA. Tawang Alun from Malang. 1 Bedali Lake (Ranu Bedali). 2 Klakah Lake (Ranu Klakah). 3 Pakis Lake (Ranu Pakis). 4 Ranu Segaran Lake, Tiris. Near the lake, there is also a natural hot spring Air Panas Segaran. You may bathe there. (updated Oct 2022)
