About Malilipot
Malilipot is a municipality in the east coast of Albay. It is sandwiched between the city of Tabaco and the municipality of Bacacay. Its shoreline faces Lagonoy Gulf. The town is stretching along Legazpi-Tiwi coastal road and is one of the five municipalities that has a jurisdiction over the foothills of Mayon Volcano.

Understand
The name Malilipot comes from the Bikol word malipot which means cold. Located at the east coast of the province, it has two mountains — Mount Bulakawan and Mount Toktokan that protect the entire town against the dangerous eruption of Mayon Volcano. Barangay San Roque is the only vulnerable place in town.
Getting there
By plane The nearest airport is in Legazpi (DRP IATA).
By bus There are buses from Manila to Malilipot, stopping also at other towns and cities along the way, and there are also UV Express vans from Legazpi and jeepneys from Tabaco.
By car It is 20 kilometres (12 mi) from Legazpi and 547 kilometres (340 mi) from Manila.
Getting around
Around the town center there are pedicabs while tricycles are available heading to the outlying barangays.

Trek Mount Bulakawan Lubid Festival - an occasion of merriment, excitement and reckoning the value of culture, tradition and potentials of Malilipot. The festival’s highlight is the Street Presentation and Exhibition (Sayaw Paralubid). The festival also coincides with the observance of the Feast of Mt. Carmel that will bring out the spirit of piety amidst the days of gaiety.
