Kaushambi (कौशांबी Kaushāmbī) is an archaeological site in southern Uttar Pradesh. It was once the capital of the Vatsa Kingdom and an ancient trading centre on the Indian Plains.

Getting there
By car Like all other district headquarters in Uttar Pradesh, Kaushambi is connected by a state highway (SH 95). SH 95 branches off from the Grand Trunk Road near Prayagraj.
