Kalikiri

Kalikiri is a town with a population of around 25,000 people. The place falls in the route between Madanapalli and Tirupati. This is a laid back town and is 45 km from Madanapalli. The place is very scenic and has a rural flavour.

Getting there

By plane The nearest airports are in Tirupathi (2 hours) and Bangalore (3 hours).

By train There is one train that runs between Tirupathi and Gunthakal via Kalikiri. This number is going to increase over a period.

By bus There are a number of buses available from Madanapalli, Tirupathi, Chittoor, Palamaner and Rayachoti.

Do

If you like trekking, then there are many hills around, mainly Ankalamma Konda which is good to climb with pleasant environment. Nearest scenic places to visit: Horsley hills, Thalakona forest and waterfall. Pilgrims: Thirupathi, kanipakam, Thalakona Shiva Temple, Vellore Golden Temple.
