Understand
At the south east of the country, Harper is the former capital of Maryland. It is known for its beautiful beaches and beach houses. Now these houses are dilapidated, but it's still possible to get a sense of the glory of the past.

Getting around
You can wave down virtually any motorbike without a passenger to get a ride. For L$20, you can go to any part of the main city. The same motorbikes will take you to Pleebo for L$250. Alternatively, you can take a commercial car. There are trucks that charge about L$150 per person.

Eat
There are little coffee shacks setup around Harper. They sell eggs (cooked with local spices) with bread, instant coffee, spam, sardines, and spaghetti in a local spicy sauce. Great if you are missing western-type foods.
