Etinan

Etinan is a town and local government area in Akwa Ibom State. Onna, Nsit Ibom, Mkpat Enin, Abak, and Uyo Local Government Areas share common borders. The entire local government territory is located within the tropical rainforest region, which has two different seasons: wet and dry. The plants are evergreen. Climate Etinan has a tropical monsoon climate featuring a long wet season (April–October) and a dry season (November–March). Average temperatures are warm, and high humidity and rainfall are typical throughout much of the year.

Getting there

It is 26 km south of Uyo, the state capital of Akwa Ibom, and 24 km north of Eket.

One of the most famous markets is Udua Etinan in the town. Udua Mkpafi market is in Ikot Isong village.
