Dukku is the capital of Dukku Local Government Area. The major ethnic group is Fulani with Fulfulde being spoken as a language. Other ethnic groups includes Hausa, Kanuri, Kare-Kare. The Gongola River flows through north and west the council area.

Getting there

By plane 1 Gombe Lawanti International Airport (GMO IATA), Gombe. This is an airport serving Gombe state and it is the fastest way to get into the state.
