Kinpo Dam
The 520th tallest dam in the world
Kinpo Dam is a rockfill dam located in Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for irrigation. The catchment area of the dam is 13.9 km2. The dam's surface area stretches to about 15 ha when full, storing 2,570 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was started in 1987 and completed in 2003.
