Cathedral of Christ the Saviour

Kaliningrad, Russia · built 2006

The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (Khram Khrista Spasitelya) in the Russian city of Kaliningrad (formerly Königsberg) is the largest church of Kaliningrad Oblast. It is the dominant building of the inner city and is situated near the central square, called Ploshchad Pobedy (Victory Square). The cathedral's construction was completed on 10 September 2006. A small wooden chapel that served as a temporary worship space still stands nearby.
