About

Hiyama Castle (Hiyama-jō) is a Sengoku period Japanese castle located in what is now part of the city of Noshiro, Akita Prefecture, in the Tōhoku region of Japan. The site of Hiyama Castle proper, the outlying Ōdate, and Chausu fortifications and the ruins of the temple of Kokusei-ji were collectively designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1979.
