About
The Atlantic City Boardwalk is an oceanfront boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States. Opened in 1870, it is the oldest, longest, and busiest boardwalk in the world. The Atlantic City Boardwalk is 5+1⁄2 to 5+3⁄4 miles (8.9 to 9.3 km) long, the world's longest. The Boardwalk starts at Absecon Inlet in the north and runs along the beach south-west to the city limit 4 mi (6.4 km) away then continues 1+1⁄2 mi (2.4 km) into Ventnor City.
