Akōbō Kofun Cluster

Oirase, Japan

The Akōbō Kofun group (Akōbō kofun-gun) is a large group of circular kofun burial mounds located in the Akobo neighborhood of the town of Oirase, in Kamikita District of Aomori Prefecture in the far northern Tōhoku region of Japan. It has protected by the central government as a National Historic Site since July 29, 2007.
