Woolgoolga (often called “Woopi”) is a relaxed coastal town on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales. Known for its long sandy beaches, strong Sikh heritage, and laid-back holiday vibe, it’s a popular stop along the Pacific Highway and a gateway to quieter coastal stretches.

Woolgoolga sits just off the Pacific Highway about 25 km north of Coffs Harbour. It and is easily reached by car from Coffs Harbour (around 20 minutes). The nearest major station is at Coffs Harbour and local bus services operate north to Woolgoolga, though services can be infrequent. The nearest airport is Coffs Harbour Airport, with regular flights from Sydney and Brisbane.

1 Woolgoolga Beach. A wide, clean stretch of sand ideal for swimming, surfing, and long walks. The headland offers excellent views up and down the coast, especially at sunrise.
