Toa Baja is divided into 5 barrios, including the barrio referred to as Pueblo with the municipal buildings, a Roman Catholic church, and a main recreational plaza. Toa Baja is known for its scenic views and beaches. Located near the capital city of San Juan, Puerto Rico, it has rivers and beaches, nightlife and dining, a national park and historic ruins of old sugar plantations.

By car Toa Baja is accessible from PR-22, PR-2, PR-165, and PR-167. Toa Baja is approximately 25 minutes from the capital of Puerto Rico; however, during rush hour, it may take much longer.

You can drive around the pueblo or park your car and walk around the square and into the plaza. The Spanish law, which regulated life in Puerto Rico in the early 19th century, stated the plaza's purpose was for celebrations and festivities.
