Festivals Sportfishing Tournament - Feria Regional Tierra Nueva - the first 10 days of September mark the town's largest celebration which marks the harvest as well as celebrations honoring San Nicolás de Tolentino, the town's patron saint.

1 Mercado Municipal, Alvaro Obregon 40, Centro. 07:00 - 18:00. The town's traditional marketplace is small with few vendors providing fresh grown produce but many selling second-hand clothes and prepared foods. Good place to grab an inexpensive breakfast or lunch. (updated Aug 2024)
