Theodore is a small town of 450 (2021) in Central Queensland, established as an irrigation town. The layout of the town is somewhat reminiscent of a planned city, particularly the boulevards, as the town was intended to become a model garden city.

The periphery of Theodore is on the Leichhardt Highway (A5), though the town centre is about 1 km south of the highway via The Boulevarde. From Miles, the town is about 225 km north and takes roughly about 2.5 hours; Theodore is 1 hour (~100 km) north of Taroom. From Banana, Theodore is about 60 km (~35 mins) south, while it is 2.5 hours south of Rockhampton.
