Thallon is a small town of 231 (2021) in the southwest corner of Queensland's Darling Downs region. It is more often than not a stopover town but has some interesting murals.

Thallon is on the Carnarvon Highway (46) between St George and Mungindi. The road on both sides is a high quality 110 km/h (68 mph) road, with the drive to St George being 79 km (49 mi) and 40 km (25 mi) from Mungindi. From Dirranbandi, use Noondoo Thallon Road east for 65 km. The road quality is considerably worse on this road, however.

The old railway bridge to Dirranbandi crossing the Moonie River has some murals on the pillars. They generally depict the local history and any prominent people from the region.
