關於Shravasti

Shravasti (श्रावस्ती Shrāvastī), a town in northern Uttar Pradesh, was the capital of the ancient Indian kingdom of Kosala, along the Rapti River. It is one of the most revered Indian sites in Buddhism, where the Buddha lived most after his enlightenment, taught many of his sūtras and converted many of his disciples. Despite being later destroyed by the 13th century when the Delhi Sultanate was established, the site was rediscovered by a team of British and Indian archaeologists in the late 19th century, attracting waves of systematic excavations for the last two centuries.
