Ogaminana is the name of the headquarters of Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria. It shares borders with Edo State in the south and the state capital Lokoja in the north.

Climate In Ogaminana, the wet season is oppressive and overcast, the dry season is muggy and partly cloudy, and it is hot year round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 65°F to 93°F and is rarely below 59°F or above 98°F.

Transportation company(s) such as ABC Transport (with air-conditioned luxurious bus rides), God is Good Motors (GIGM), Big Joe Motors, Chisco Transport (CTN) and Young Shall Grow, etc, all provide transport services from other parts of the country to Kogi state. International travellers will find it easiest to travel from Abuja to Kogi state, which is around 3 hours. Travellers from Lagos and other parts of the Southwest can expect to spend about 5 to 8 hours on the road, depending on the road and security conditions.

By train 2 Itakpe Train Station Nigeria Railway Corporation has completed an inter-city line between Kogi, Abuja and Kaduna, where you can connect with the rest of the Nigerian rail system. Trains arrive and depart from Itakpe. The train service offers three ticket types - Economy, First Class and Sleeper.
