Oas is a coastal municipality in the west coast of Albay placed between the city of Ligao and the municipalities of Polangui and Libon accessible via Asian Highway 26. Its shoreline faces Burias Pass.

Oas was founded during the early Spanish colonization of the Bicol Peninsula. In 1605, Father Baltazar de los Reyes converted 12 leading natives of the area to Christianity in one day, forming the foundation of the community now known as Oas.

By plane The nearest airport is in Daraga (DRP IATA).

By bus There are buses from Manila to Oas and there are also UV Express vans from Legazpi.

By car Oas is 32 km (20 mi) from Legazpi and 495 km (308 mi) from Manila.
