Noda

The city center is surrounded by rivers on three sides, with the Shimōsa Plateau, the Tone River to the east of the city, the Edo River to the west, and the Tone Canal to the south. Noda has been a centre of Japanese soybean production for a long time. The Kikkoman soy sauce empire has its headquarters here.

Climate Noda has a humid subtropical climate characterized by warm summers and cool winters with light to no snowfall. The average temperature is 14.6 °C (58.3 °F). The warmest month is August with 26.6 °C (79.9 °F) and the coldest is January with around 3.7 °C (38.7 °F). The average annual rainfall is 1,351 mm (53.2 in) with September as the wettest month.

By road It is well-connected by road approximately a 35-40 minute drive from central Tokyo depending on traffic.

Free. 2 Sekiyado Castle. a Japanese castle built in 1590 by Matsudaira Yasumoto. It was demolished in 1875 and again reconstructed in 1995 to boost local tourism and to function as an annex to the local Sekiyado Castle Museum. However, the reconstructed buildings are not on the original foundations, nor are the buildings historically accurate. The shrine was founded in 851 CE by a member of the Fujiwara clan and is the oldest shrine in Noda city. The shrine is a famous spot for cherry blossom viewing. Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (entry until 4:00 PM). is an art museum opened in January 2006 and displays artworks collected by Shichizaemon Mogi, the 12th head of the Takanashi-Moki family, one of the eight families of the Mogi family that founded Kikkoman.
