Latrobe's history isn't limited to its coal mining and industrial heritage. This small city is home to the invention of the banana split ice cream treat, the first openly professional American football players, and the birthplaces of golfer Arnold Palmer and children's television titan Mr. (Fred) Rogers.
如何抵達
By plane Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT IATA) is a common way to get in. The Pittsburgh airport is about an hour to an hour in a half away from Latrobe. Many airlines fly in and out of Pittsburgh including Air Canada, American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, and United. 1 Arnold Palmer Regional Airport was the airport closest to Latrobe; it is found in the surrounding township of Unity. Spirit Airlines was the only airline with scheduled passenger service at this small airport, so when it shut down in May 2026, all scheduled passenger service halted. The airport hoped to sign a contract with a new airline before the end of 2026.
