Kanoya is the most populous city in Japan without any connection to railway services.

By plane The nearest airport is Kagoshima Airport in Kirishima City. Kanoya Bus Stop (in front of Lina City Kanoya) is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes by limousine bus from Kagoshima Airport.

By car It takes about 1 hour and 14 minutes on the highway and about 1 hour and 40 minutes on the general road (via National Highway 504) by private car.

1 Kanyoa Air Base Museum. Imperial Japanese Navy exhibition of the history of the era to the present day of the Maritime Self-Defense Force. There are also aircraft on display and many exhibits related to the kamikaze corps. Free.
