Dosso is a city in southwestern Niger, serving as the capital of Dosso Region. It is a historic and cultural hub of the Zarma people and was once the seat of the Dosso Kingdom. Known for its rich traditions, Dosso hosts the annual cure salée festival. The city is an agricultural center, benefiting from its location near the Niger River, and a crossroads for trade routes connecting Niamey and other regions. Landmarks include the Dosso Sultan's Palace and the Musée Régional de Dosso.
