You must have read our report from yesterday about the attacks that took place on the Kremlin recently where it is claimed that Ukraine sent those drones over Russian President’s official residence which is the Kremlin in order to assassinate him and the Russians have also called this a terrorist attack. Russia’s Medvedev has even said that the only option left now for Russia to retaliate on this attack is to “wipe out Zelensky”, the Ukrainian President. While Russia blames Ukraine for this attack, it has also called out the US and said that US is the mastermind of this attack and have told Ukraine to carry out this attack.
Obviously, the US would deny these allegations even if they had a small IOTA of truth to it. And as expected, the White House released a statement saying that they deny any involvement from their side in this attack. Russia says that “We know well that the decisions about such actions and such terrorist acts are made not in Kyiv, but in Washington,” and added that “Kyiv then does what it’s told.” On the other hand, it is also worth noting that Ukraine denies being involved in this attack at all and in return, have said that the Russians planted this attack on their own to justify an escalation in the war between Ukraine and Russia.
The White House, in a statement, said “We’ve been clear with them publicly and we’ve been clear privately that we do not encourage, nor do we enable, them to strike outside Ukraine,” and added that “I can assure you that there was no involvement by the United States in this.” Russian side has officially warned the US of getting involved in this war between the two countries and have said that “It’s very important that they understand in Washington that we know this, and that they understand how dangerous such direct involvement in the conflict is.” Now, we know that the Russian President Putin is loved by people in Russia and therefore, it is imperative that this said assassination attempt on their President should be responded to, in order to let people know that they are not sitting ducks.
