Dubai: Emirates’ customers travelling to and from seven destinations in India – Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai – will be in for a special treat as one of the world’s leading airlines, Emirates will be offering festive sweets on-board to mark the Indian festival of colours, Holi.

On 28 and 29 March, all customers travelling with Emirates will enjoy a delicious Kesar Gujiya – a saffron-flavoured deep fried sweet dish, stuffed with dry fruits – packaged in a specially designed, colourful box.

Premium customers travelling in First Class and Business Class on 28 March can also enjoy a refreshing, cold Thandai drink prepared with a mixture of milk and nuts, seasoned with cardamom, saffron and rose petals.

As a global connector of people and places – Emirates celebrates cultural diversity by creating memorable experiences for its customers in the air and on-ground.

Ultimate entertainment

Passengers on-board will also be able to enjoy the ultimate entertainment on ice – the award-winning inflight entertainment system – with more than 4,500 channels including popular Bollywood movies.

The airline currently operates repatriation flights to/from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Cochin, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata, and Mumbai.

Placing the health and wellbeing of its customers as a top priority – Emirates has implemented a comprehensive set of safety measures at every step of the customer journey, including the distribution of complimentary hygiene kits containing masks, gloves, and antibacterial wipes.

Emirates’ 34 years in India have been defined by progressive investment, partnership and growth. In October 1985, Emirates launched flights from Dubai to Delhi and Mumbai which formed the base of its initial route network.

India operation

Since then, Emirates has grown its India operations to serve a total of nine destinations across India – Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram – with 170 weekly flights.

Globally, the airline now flies to 157 destinations in 83 countries and territories.
