In a nation where shootings, even mass shootings are at times a daily occurrence, little intelligence had gone into the initial call it would appear.
In another, unrelated, but similarly inane case in Ohio, another woman, also in her 50s was also arrested for claiming a person was on the rampage with a gun.
Sending a text message to her sister claiming that there was a shooter at a facility in which the sender worked, her sister called local authorities who responded appropriately.
Maj. Chris Clark of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office later described it as “Basically she had called her sister and said something to the effect of a guy was fired yesterday and has come back in with a gun. We are all hiding in a locked office and asked her to call the police.”
