Taiwan’s CPBL Opens Minor League Games To Fans

Effective Saturday, May 23rd, games in Taiwan’s ‘Minor League’ will be opened to the public.

At first limited to 200 fans, the move by the national government in-sync with Taiwan’s baseball authorities, the CPBL is yet another sign of the nation’s most popular spectator sport leading the way against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those looking to attend games can find all terms of entry and a government required health declaration form that can be downloaded on the official CPBL homepage at http://www.cpbl.com.tw/minor2020/

Registration to enter must be completed by 6 p.m. the day prior to a game.

The schedule for all upcoming games can be seen here (albeit currently in Chinese).

Taiwan’s minor league consists of five teams; the second teams of each current major league team as well as the Wei Chuan Dragons who are set to join the majors next year.

The majority of games are played in southern Taiwan at stadiums in Kaohsiung, Tainan, Douliu, and Chiayi.
