We have some great news coming out of the Taiwan camp who are at the U-18 Baseball World Cup. The Taiwan U-18 team has defeated the Australian team at the event. However, this victory is known to be an overwhelming one as the Taiwan team has defeated Australia by 12-0 scoreline. This was a super round game at the U-18 Baseball World Cup. With this victory, Taiwan U-18 team is through to the Semi-Finals of U-18 Baseball World Cup while the Australian team is knocked out of the tournament.

Taiwan quickly opened the scoreboard at top of second thanks to consecutive hits by Lin Chen-hsun, Wang Shun-ho and Yueh Cheng-hua. Taiwan then got a 2-0 lead thanks to Starting pitcher Lin Yu-min who batted a base hit to bring two runners home. In the fourth, the Taiwan team added two more runs which brought the total to 4-0.

After that, an early game was called as Taiwan team added eight more runs in the 8th round to push the score to 12-0. Since Taiwan team was ahead by 10 runs, the game was called. Taiwan team will face Canada next in their semi-finals clash on Saturday who is believed to be a powerhouse. The 2019 edition of U-18 World Cup is taking place at South Korea at the Gijang Hyundai Dream Ballpark.

Taiwan, South Korea, Australia, the Netherlands, Canada, Nicaragua, China, Japan, the U.S., Panama, South Africa and Spain are the 12 countries taking part in this year’s U-18 World Cup.
