Somali Police Commander Calling For Govt Overthrow Fired

Mogadishu (PP News Desk) — The Commander of the Somali Police Force, Major General Abdi Hassan Mohammed has fired Brigadier General Sadaq Omar Hassan, the Commissioner of the Banadir Regional Police, and appointed Lieutenant Colonel Farhan Mohamed Adan as the new Commissioner for the regional police.

Reckless: General Sadaq had called for the overthrow of the President of Somalia.

Earlier today General Sadaq held a press conference in Mogadishu and claimed that he had adjourned a parliamentary session that was to take place today.

It was revealed that Sadaq had urged the current Somali Prime Minister to overthrow the incumbent President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed.

It is understood the Interior Minister of Galmudug State Ahmed Fiqi had also expressed support for Sadaq’s call, and subtle attack on the Somali Presidency and the Parliamentary Speaker.
