Russian airport in Dagestan stormed by Pro-Palestine protestors over flight from Israel

We know that the world is divided between support for Israel because of what happened to the country after the terrorists from Gaza entered the country and did what they did but also because of Israel’s counterattack which has meant that thousands of people in Gaza have already lost their lives and there are no signs of ceasefire or Israel backing down. Now, we have also noticed that people across the world who support Palestine have been doing all sorts of things such as protest marches, rioting and a lot more but now we are seeing something we have never seen before. It is reported that at Russia’s Dagestan airport, a group of Palestine supporters rushed through the security of the airport onto the runway because they got the information that a flight from Israel has just landed.

Russia’s interior ministry said in a statement that “More than 150 active participants in the unrest have been identified, 60 of them have been arrested”. Nine police officers were injured in clashes with the crowd, including two who were receiving treatment at a hospital. It is reported that photos and videos following the event “showed the protesting crowd breaking down glass doors and running through the airport, with some chanting anti-Jewish slogans. On the landing field, some were seen waving Palestinian flags and others checking the passports of arriving passengers”.

Following this incident, Israel’s PM Netanyahu said that he “expects the Russian law enforcement authorities to protect the safety of all Israeli citizens and Jews wherever they may be and to act resolutely against the rioters and against the wild incitement directed against Jews and Israelis”. On Sunday, it was also reported by “RIA Novosti news agency reported that a Jewish center in the city of Nalchik, in the nearby republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, had been set on fire”.

One video from the incident also shows one protestor saying that “Child killers have no place in Dagestan” but they have conveniently ignored the fact that Israel’s children were also killed by the attack from Hamas terrorists on October 7. It is worth noting that Russia supports Palestine and not Israel in this war.
