Russia-Ukraine War taking turns, Donbas in Danger

Zelensky stated that Russia is working toward destroying Donbas. Ukraine’s president’s key adviser stated that the batter reached a horrifying climax. The battle for the cities of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk is at a dead end.

Oleksiy Arestovych stated that the Russian army was going to surround the eastern cities. They will soon break them off from the Ukrainian territory. He stated that the Russian victory was on its way. However, it did not complete yet.

Zelensky, on the other hand, blamed Moscow for trying to ruin Donbas. As a result, there were many airstrikes in Donbas.

Zelensky also repeated his cries of help for Western leaders. He asked them to deliver the de heavy artillery quickly.

He said, “We, again and again, emphasize the acceleration of arms deliveries to Ukraine. However, what is quickly needed is parity on the battlefield to halt this diabolical armada and push it beyond Ukraine’s borders.”

Russia is focusing on Severodonetsk and Lysychansk. However, Moscow’s forces are also advancing at encircling these regions.

Regional Governor Serhiy Haidai stated that Russian forces are making progress. They already captured the two prime settlements in the south of the cities. Haida also said that Russian shelling ruined the infrastructure in Lysychansk.

Arestovych stated that shelling is gradually slowing due to losses caused by Ukraine on Russian forces. However, Russia restarted its shelling of the city of Kharkiv. May residents return to the city. This was after Ukrainian forces pushed back the Russian forces. But fears are still prevalent that a new attack may happen soon.

On the other side, Russia claimed that Ukraine is using drones to attack its oil refinery in the Rostov region. Videos from social media show unmanned vehicles smashing into the refinery. The pro-Russian administration called “Ukrainian saboteurs” for trying to carry out the failed assassination.
